Registration is open to everyone interested in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
Please note that everyone attending the Conference must register, including speakers.
DAA Partner Registrations / Exhibition Staff Registrations: Please do not use the registration form on the Conference website to register your staff. DAA Partners and Conference Exhibition Staff will receive a link to a separate Registration Form. Registration Fee Entitlements
Three day registration fees (categories A, B and C) include:
- Name badge, satchel, program booklet, Nutrition & Dietetics (Journal of the Dietitians Association of Australia, including the Journal of the New Zealand Dietetic Association) Supplement with all abstracts published, and a list of delegates
- Attendance at Conference sessions
- Attendance at a workshop or seminar on Thursday and/or Saturday*
- Attendance at the Welcome Cocktail Party on Thursday 27 May
- Morning/afternoon teas and lunches as per the program
- Access to the Trade Exhibition and poster display during advertised times
- Access to the Market Place on Friday 28 May
Note: Registration category A is inclusive of a ticket to the Conference dinner. Registration categories B and C do not include a ticket to the Conference dinner. Tickets may be purchased separately.
Student/retired member and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health/Nutrition Workers three day registration fees (categories D and E) include:
- Name badge, satchel, program booklet, Nutrition & Dietetics (Journal of the Dietitians Association of Australia, including the Journal of the New Zealand Dietetic Association) Supplement with all abstracts published, and a list of delegates
- Attendance at Conference sessions

Please choose your registration category carefully – refunds will not be issued for the Conference dinner portion of your registration fee.
1Financial members of NSA, AIFST, Auspen, Nutrition Australia and the Dietitians NZ are entitled to the DAA member rates. Please supply a copy of your current membership receipt with your registration.
2To qualify for ‘student’ rates, you must be a member of DAA in either the ‘student’ or ‘currently not working – full time study category. You will need to provide your DAA membership number and evidence of full-time PhD studies, if relevant, to the Conference Managers upon registration.
3To qualify for this rate, you must be an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health/Nutrition worker (working with dietitians/nutritionists). You will need to indicate your job title to the Conference Managers upon registration. This rate is not for people eligible for DAA membership.
Payment of Fees
Payment may be made by personal cheque or MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Diners credit cards. Please note credit card transactions will appear on your statement as payment to Conference by THPL. Cheques should be made payable to the Dietitians Association of Australia – 28th National Conference. All cheque payments will incur a $10 processing fee.
Note: Registrations will not be processed or confirmed until payment is received in full.
Acknowledgements
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged in writing with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form. Your letter of acknowledgement will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the Conference.
Cancellations and Refunds
All cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Managers.
Registration Fees
- BeforeFriday 18 April 2010will incur a $40.00 cancellation fee
- Between Friday 16 April and Friday 7 May 2010 inclusive will receive a 50% refund of fees paid
- Between Friday 7 May and Wednesday 26 May 2010there will be a 25% refund
- After these dates no refunds will be given, however, a refund in full will be paid if a registrant can prove a refund is applicable on compassionate grounds.
Accommodation
- One nights deposit must be paid or credit card details given at time of booking to guarantee reservation.
- Deposit is non-refundable after Thursday 22 April 2010.
Social Events
Tickets for the Welcome Cocktail Party and/or Conference dinner are non-refundable at Thursday 22 April 2010.
Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the conference and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The Conference Managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. The insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.
