Time: 7.00pm – 11.00pm
Venue: Atlantic Group V, Docklands

A unique Melbourne food and wine experience at the 2010 DAA conference dinner
This year’s DAA conference dinner will be held on Friday 28 May and promises to be a truly unique experience. The Atlantic Group venue, Peninsula, is Melbourne’s most glamorous waterfront event space, featuring floor to ceiling windows and a 66-metre crystal chandelier streaking along one side of the room.
Peninsula offers a refined, modern Australian menu incorporating local and seasonal produce. The evening will commence at 7 pm with roving canapés, followed by sit-down, substantial entrée and main courses. If that isn’t enough to satisfy your appetite, an exquisite array of desserts will follow. Those with special dietary requirements can enjoy a similar culinary experience, with a diverse and delectable range of menu options that won’t disappoint.
To complement the mouth-watering fare, boutique wines from Australia and New Zealand have been selected with input from in-house sommelier Simon Rose. Attendees will be able to enjoy wine on arrival and during dining. A cash bar will then be available for those wanting to purchase additional alcoholic beverages. A selection of non-alcoholic beverages will also be available throughout the night.
Entertainment will feature acclaimed trio Cookin' On 3 Burners playing a mix of Deep Funk, Raw Soul, Organ Jazz and Boogaloo. Cookin' On 3 Burners have had their music featured in some of Australia's highest rating TV shows and are not to be missed. Following their appearance, DJ Eddie Ronaldo will take us through the rest of the night until 11 pm, playing a collection of music ranging from laid back Jazz and easy listening, to the latest commercial and club tracks including all the party favourite classics of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, guaranteed to get you on the dance floor. State-of the-art
AV equipment will ensure the entertainment for the night is a stand out.
Black and silver table linen and soft lighting will set the mood and there will be no allocated seating so you can enjoy the company of familiar colleagues or get to know other dietitians from around the country.
The venue is located in the newly developed Central Pier at the Docklands, with the heritage-listed Shed 14 providing the backdrop along with stunning views of Victoria Harbour. Valet car parking is available on Central Pier. There is an abundance of parking at the Telstra Dome opposite Central Pier and excellent access to public transport with trams and nearby Southern Cross Station. It is also a short walk from the conference venue, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and all city hotels.
If you are attending the conference but have not registered for the dinner, there is still time. You can register for the dinner by updating your registration details using the access key provided with your previous registration, alternatively contact the Conference Managers directly by phone +61 2 9265 0700 or email dietitians@arinex.com.au
